Kevin J Harper is a Toronto based artist now living in Uxbridge, Ontario just outside the city.
One of Harper's earliest memories is of an impromptu art lesson his mother gave him. Harper jokes that he went on to win the art prize at my high school graduation so something must have stuck.
As avid reader, Harper continued to draw & paint throughout a career in bookselling & publishing. It was only years later that he finally realized that his art tells its own story, one that is left up to the viewer to interpret & expand upon.
Imaginative, vibrant & often nature based, Harper's work invites a narrative interpretation that runs the gamut from lighthearted & fun to more introspective & transformative - just like a good book.
